Faten Ahmed Hamama (Arabic: فاتن حمامه pronounced [ˈfæːten ħæˈmæːmæ] (listen); 27 May 1931 – 17 January 2015) was an Egyptian film and television actress and film producer. She made her screen debut in 1939, when she was only seven years old.
However, Sharif continued to avow his love for her. Egyptian singer Mohamed Abdel Wahab supported Hamama’s talent from the beginning, including when, at age 8, she won the title of Egypt's "most beautiful baby girl" and starred in her first film, "Youm Said" (" Happy Day ") in 1940. Hamama, on the other hand, later married an Egyptian doctor, Mohamed Abdel Wahab Mahmoud, and continued to act in Egypt. Hamama died on January 17, 2015, at the age of 83 after being hospitalized for a “sudden health problem that led to her death.” That same year, in May, Sharif was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
